Microneedling Treatment Instructions

Before your visit

Please arrive with clear skin- no makeup or skincare products if possible
Avoid sun exposure, retinoids, and exfoliants for 2-3 days prior, unless specified by your doctor
Avoid Aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil (to reduce risk of bruising)
Let us know if you have a history of cold sores or recent illness

Redness may occur similar to mild sunburn (lasts 24-72 hours)
Mild swelling and sensitivity, especially in sensitive areas
Tightness, dryness, slight peeling can happen after 1-3 days
Tiny powerpoint scabbing, flaking is possible if deeper needling was performed
Avoid makeup for 24 hours
Use only gentle, hydrating products– no acids, retinoids, exfoliants for 5-7 days
Stay out of the sun and wear SPF daily
Multiple sessions may be needed for best results, usually 4-6 weeks apart
