Smooth, Fill, Plump and Tighten

BOTOX® • DYSPORT® • JEUVEAU®

FDA-approved medication that is injected into the muscles beneath the skin to help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The medication acts by weakening the muscles into which it is injected so that the lines in the skin soften and become less prone to wrinkling. The lines that result from frequent muscle contractions ultimately fade or even disappear as a result.

These treatments are quick, safe, non-surgical alternatives to other anti-aging treatments. Typically, several small injections are administered by a skilled Provider, who determines the quantity and location where the medication should be used to achieve the best results.

Fillers

Juvederm® • Restylane® • Revance® • RHA®

Soft tissue fillers are agents that can be injected underneath the skin to replace volume lost over time from aging, smoking and the affects of gravity and the sun. They are strategically placed to minimize or even eliminate wrinkles and fine lines. They can be placed to correct a specific defect such as the nasolabial fold or can be injected into multiple areas to create a more youthful look. A commonly treated area is around the mouth to restore lost volume and to create a fuller, more aesthetically appealing, lip. There are several different fillers to choose from.

KYBELLA

KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin”. The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical peels are topical applications used to aid in the gentle shedding of the top layers of your skin. There are varying types and strengths of peeling products used depending on your skin type and the particular problem being addressed. In our office, we utilize several different peel compounds including glycolic acid, salcylic acid, and for deeper peels trichloracetic acid. Some newer peel technologies combine peeling agents to generate an effective exfoliation with minimal downtime. An individualized treatment plan will be determined by you and your Provider at Natural Image Skin Center.

LASER AND LIGHT TREATMENTS

Pulsed-dye lasers are typically used to treat rosacea, birthmarks, scars, port wine stains, angiomas, redness from sun damage, facial veins, and red bumps on the skin. The non-invasive treatment uses brief, but intense bursts of light that destroy the affected blood vessels that give scars and markings their unwanted red color. The laser targets the specific problem area, leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected. Results are typically noticeable right away. Two to three sessions spaced several weeks apart may be suggested depending on the specific problem area being treated.

GENTLELASE FOR THE TREATMENT OF PIGMENTATION

There are a variety of lasers available to treat different types of skin pigmentation so it can get confusing understanding the differences. Darker pigmentation like age spots and sun damage that is deeper in the layers of the skin respond better to a longer wavelength device like the alexandrite. The same goes for facial and spider veins of the legs that are more purple/blue vs. red. Red spider veins, more common in patients with rosacea respond better with the VBeam laser.

The alexandrite laser is ideal for the following pigmentation issues:

  • Pigmented lesions
  • Freckles, Age Spots, and Melasma
  • Leg Veins
  • Hemangiomas
  • Blue Facial Veins
  • Wrinkles
